Firefighter Internship Program
So you've completed your Basic Firefighter 1 Academy and you're looking for full time experience?
You've come to the right place!
Arcata Fire District's internship program offers full time, career firefighting experience to help academy graduates obtain their Firefighter 1 State Certification. Recruits will be assigned to a shift as the 3rd firefighter on the engine and will be utilized in the same capacity as any other career firefighter.
