 Promotional Badge Pinning 2016On July 15th, 2016, Arcata Fire District held a ceremony to honor the promotions of Fire Chief Justin McDonald & four firefighters: Brett Kennard, Luke Walker, Anthony Benelisha and Nick Hurn. VLU members Dave White, Tom Dewey, and Deb Davis were also honored. |  Every 15 Minutes | MHSOn April 23, 2015, the "Every 15 Minutes" was staged at McKinleyville High School. The two-day program focuses on high school students, which challenges them to think about drinking, driving, personal safety, the responsibility of making mature decisions and the impact their decisions have on family, friends, and many others. |

Firefighter Anthony Benelisha provided immediate medical care and evaluation and stayed with the patient for two hours until the USCG airlifted the patient to the hospital. |
